Synopsis

Hans Müller is visiting Wartburg Castle in Thuringia, accompanied by his loving female friend Maria.  Hans doesn't understand much about loyalty, which constantly leads to problems between the two of them.  During one of their fights, Lady Venus intervenes and sends the pair back to the Middle Ages so the young man can learn the true meaning of love.

Hans arrives at the castle disguised as the knight Tannhäuser and must participate in the legendary Sängerkrieg, a competition between court poets. As he navigates his way through a series of medieval adventures, he eventually realizes that he truly loves Maria, who has been secretly supporting him in the guise of his squire “Moritz.” But can the couple ever find a way to return to modern times?
