Synopsis

The nationally-owned Buna Chemical Plant provides an art center with 50 different art clubs for its 22,000 employees to participate in during their free time. The documentary shows workers preparing a photography exhibit about their work environment, children performing with puppets, orchestral and dance rehearsals, landscape painters hiking into the forests in search of scenery, a choir performing at the International Handel Festival, and more. The film emphasizes the ways in which socialism allows workers to develop their whole person through art.
