Synopsis

This historical panorama presents the tragedy of Tecumseh, one of the most significant characters in Indian history. The film depicts the years 1806 - 1813 and his struggles to united the fragmented Indian peoples.

White settlers swindle the Indians into selling their land, driving them ever further into the barren western territories. In order to prevent Harrison, the greedy govenor of Indiana, from taking further advantage of the Indians, the Shawnee chief Tecumseh convinces the tribes to unite. They declare all Indian land to be their inalienable common property and kill any chieftain who sells his tribe's land in defiance of this agreement.

In 1811, Harrison attacks the main camp of Tecumseh's followers, and the survivors flee to Canada, where they fight on the side of the English in the War of 1812. But Tecumseh is betrayed yet again.
