Kurt Naumann’s first big movie role was playing the character Daniel Brenner in Die Architekten. He has also been in many other films, but he is best known for his work on stages in Berlin and Potsdam.
Currently, he appears as a guest to the ensemble of the renowned Berlin Volksbühne, recognized internationally for its modern German theater. In recent years Naumann has played in a variety of spectacular productions by directors such as Frank Castorf (The Obscene Work: Caligula, 1999; Neustadt: The Idiot, 2002; The Master and Margarita, 2002; Cocaine, 2004) and the provocative Christoph Schlingensief (Kühnen 1994 – Bring Me Adolf Hitler’s Head!, 1993).
