Reisch, Günter
Günter Reisch was born on November 24, 1927 in Berlin. At the age of 16, he was drafted into the Wehrmacht. He returned to Potsdam in the fall of 1945, after his release from an American POW camp. In 1948, Reisch joined DEFA’s Young Directors’ Studio.
Reusse, Peter
Peter Reusse was born in Teltow, Germany on February 15, 1941. From 1959 until 1963, he studied at the Academy for Film and Television in Potsdam-Babelsberg. He worked as a freelance actor at different theaters around the GDR—including in Zeitz, Halle and Brandenburg—until he joined the Deutsches Theater in East Berlin in 1970.
Richter, Erika
Erika Richter was born on January 6, 1938 in Aachen and grew up in Chemnitz, Germany. From 1956 to 1960, she studied drama theory at the Deutsche Hochschule für Filmkunst. After finishing a special course at the VGIK film academy in Moscow from 1961 to 1962, she was an editor for Filmwissenschaftliche Mitteilungen, a quarterly insert in the periodical Deutsche Filmkunst.
Richter, Gottfried
Gottfried Richter was born in 1947. He studied acting at the Hans Otto Academy of Theater in Leipzig and joined the Rostock Volkstheater ensemble in 1970; in 1974, he moved back to Leipzig, where he worked for the next fourteen years.
Richter, Sebastian
Sebastian Richter was born in Berlin in 1963. From 1983 to 1984, he worked as an assistant cameraman at the DEFA Studio for Documentary Films. Richter then studied at the Academy for Film and Television in Potsdam-Babelsberg until 1989.
Richter-Reinick, Walter
Walter Richter-Reinick was born Walter Richter in Berlin on April 14, 1911. He became one of the few East German actors to be given the honorary title of “Actor of the People” for his work in the theater.
Roloff, Stefan
Stefan Roloff, born in 1953 in Berlin, has worked as a painter, video artist and filmmaker. A pioneer of digital video and photography, in 1983 Roloff founded his own production company, When 6 is 9. He shares his time between New York and Berlin.
Römer, Rolf
Rolf Römer was born as Rolf Specht in Königswinter, Germany, on September 20, 1935. After completing an apprenticeship as a bricklayer, he studied acting at the Academy for Film and Television in Potsdam-Babelsberg. While still a student, he played small parts in DEFA films, but he soon progressed to leading parts in East German Westerns.
Rosié, Thomas
Born in Berlin in 1942, Thomas Rosié studied camera work at the Academy for Film and Television in Potsdam-Babelsberg from 1961 to 1963. He worked as a film photographer, cameraman and special effects technician for East German Television until 1968. Since then, he has brought his experience as a special effects designer and cinematographer to the Moser+Rosié special effects studio, which he founded along with Hans Moser.

Ernst Roters was born in Oldenburg, Germany, on July 6, 1892. He worked as a composer, conductor and opera director.
